Inspired by my surroundings, my work tends to celebrate the natural beauty and adventurous spirit of the West Kootenays through an expressionist style. My colourful work is a reflection of my personal life and my need to create.

I love painting and creating. I generally use acrylic paint to capture the world around me. My love affair with art started at age 10 after one of my first painting classes. At age 12 I decided I was going to be a professional artist. I’m a big city girl who turned into a small town girl, and I’m loving it! After studying Fine Art in Vancouver I chased the snow to Rossland, BC. My partner and I were sick of the city life and decided we wanted to snowboard everyday.

Whether working on a client request or painting from my imagination, the paintbrush has been an extension of my hand and spirit for as long as I can remember. Applying my story to canvas is when I feel most like myself.

My latest endeavours explore the ability to lose control, fling paint, make mistakes, and find surprise through pour painting and abstract designs. I have a versatile style which is ever- changing, but movement flows through each piece. I continue to challenge myself to take risks with new mediums and subject matter. I intend to keep experimenting and growing as an artist.
